Columbus Weightlifting Level One Certification Course
February 7-9, 2018

This three day course will cover the Olympic lifts (snatch, and clean and jerk) as well as programming, coaching athletes, as well as how to integrate Olympic weightlifting into CrossFit and other programming.

The course will be led by Mark Canella, an American international weightlifting coach who has coached at the Olympics and elsewhere, as well as led workshops, certifications and courses internationally.  Coach Mark is also the meet director for the Arnold Olympic Weightlifting Competition, part of one of the largest sporting events in the world.

Who should come?  
If you are a coach, you should come to learn more about techniques and cues, as well as competition and programming.  
If you are an athlete, you’ll have a chance to work on your form and technique, as well as understand how to progress in your chosen sport using Olympic weightlifting.

Course Fee: Early Bird: $550 (USD) until January 15, Full Fee $600.  Course fees include entry into the competition.

2018 Chiang Mai Olympic Weightlifting Competition

This event will have two divisions:

  • The Open Division is for anyone just getting into Olympic weightlifting competitions — this is perfect for CrossFitters or other athletes who have been lifting and want to learn how to compete.
  • The Elite Division is for experienced Olympic weightlifters — athletes who have competed before or who’s primary sport is Olympic weightlifting. 

This is a USAW (USA Weightlifting) sanctioned meet.
